Know Nasties Limited ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Know Nasties mobile application.

2. Data Collection & Usage

• No Personal Data Collection: The Know Nasties app does not require a user account, name, or email address to function. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information.
• On-Device Processing: All ingredient analysis is performed in real-time. Images of food labels captured by your camera are processed to identify allergens and are not uploaded to our servers or stored permanently on your device.
• Allergen Profiles: Your chosen allergen preferences (e.g., "Peanut Allergy") are stored locally on your device only.

3. Third-Party Services & Sub-processors

To provide our services and manage subscriptions, we use the following third-party tools. Please note that all payments are processed securely by the respective app stores, which act as independent data controllers for your financial information:

• Google Cloud / Gemini API: Images captured for analysis are transmitted securely to the Google Gemini API for real-time processing and ingredient translation. These images are stored by Google temporarily (for up to 48 hours) to facilitate the analysis and for safety monitoring, after which they are automatically deleted. Google does not use these images to train its artificial intelligence models.
• Google Firebase: Used for app performance monitoring, crash reporting, and basic analytics. This data is anonymized and used solely to improve app stability.
• RevenueCat: Used to securely manage in-app purchases and subscription statuses. RevenueCat uses anonymous identifiers to verify purchase access without collecting your personal identity.
• Apple App Store & Google Play: Used to securely process your subscription and in-app payments. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card or billing information on our servers.

4. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Since we do not collect personal data, we do not hold information for you to access, correct, or delete. You have full control over your data by simply deleting the app from your device.
